58. The power of perpetual, almost imperceptible, incremental improvements:Carpe Diem

Probably one of the best definitions of success in life, is to achieve to create the momentum of  perpetual and consistent improvements in the quality of spiritual, intellectual, emotional  relational and social, physical , and financial life, according to our accepted standards and beliefs. (See also the Law of vibration from the 12 of the laws of personal development post 84)To define success as just the achievement of particular goals is quite static or teleological. But to define it through the momentum of continuous improvements on all the significant areas of life (e.g. see the A. Maslow's hierarchy of needs and desires), it is dynamic, and related to the stepwise rewards of the "journey to Ithaca" rather than "Ithaca" itself as the poet Homer says.
Such a momentum can make us say
"Every day, in every way, I become better and better."
This attitude has been applied with great success in business and large enterprises in the context of what is known as "Total Quality Management". The first to apply this profound philosophy of business were the Japanese, and they even have a special word for this momentum and measure; they call it  Keisen.
It is the same with the household economic and family or personal life. Keeping as personal requirement to create and preserve this momentum of improvement makes miracles. Even a 2% only weekly improvement in our business or other endeavours towards a goal, can lead us almost without  realizing it, to great changes for the better in our life. But be smart: Prefer the journey of improvements than a particular station of status.

Of course peace of mind , planetary prosperity  and happiness comes also when we feel that we accomplish gradually our true goals. And there minor and major goals in life. We might say that our existence has no other goal than to exist. Or that we may have many different goals, according to the scale of relevance in our existence. But one of the most beautiful and meaning goals in life is to develop more of our soul consciousness. So all other minor goals like social success, money, fame, knowledge , creativity etc are to serve this major goal of developing more of our soul consciousness.

In loosing way, the circadian cycles (daily cycle) is the strongest, and the relevant diet, isthe Intermittent fasting.  (See post 123).
